Charles E. Jones documents the overwhelming causes that brought an end to the Black Panther Party. He notes that the rudimentary reason which led to the demise of this black nationalists party as being political repression. If the reader is to thoroughly understand the message Jones is trying to convey, they must number one understand what he means by repression.
